Morton Capital Management is in its fourth decade as a Registered Investment Advisor. In December 2012, we became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Union Bank, N.A., concurrent with the merger of Union Bank and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. This merger is an important combination of two California banks deeply committed to ensuring the future of local banking in the communities served by both organizations and their affiliates. Now, in addition to Santa Barbara Bank & Trust’s history and dedication to the community, customers will be able to benefit from the expanded capabilities and tangible benefits of the combined bank. As an affiliate, we will also benefit from access to greater investment research and expertise.

We owe much of our success to the continuing loyalty of our clients. Throughout the many gyrations of the financial markets, Morton Capital Management has continued to grow. How have we accomplished this?

Morton Capital offers its clients disciplined investment strategies combined with personal attention, forming relationships based on value and mutual trust. We believe many aspects of our firm are unique, but what really differentiates us from the pack is our willingness to look at alternatives to traditional asset classes to enhance the value we deliver to our clients. We use these alternative investments to lower a portfolio¹s correlation to the market.

Based on our experience, we also work to recognize value and identify those segments of the financial markets that reflect opportunity. We call these opportunities "fat pitches," and we select world-class money managers we believe will capitalize on these "fat pitches." We believe we have created a pioneering combination of alternative investments and "fat pitch" investing that, together, adds real value.

Some of the clients at Morton Capital Management have been doing business with our principals for as long as 30 years. We believe that this has been accomplished by meeting and exceeding client expectations. Morton Capital would like the opportunity to exceed your expectations as well.
